1st Sywell Air Scouts visit RIAT 2015
Our Air Scouts started the school summer holidays with a visit to the UK's biggest airshow - Fairford's Royal International Air Tattoo.
With brilliant sunshine and blue skies we were very priviledged to witness one of the last ever flights of XH558 Spirit of Great Britain - the Vulcan Bomber. We were treated to a marvellous display followed by an emotional farewell flypast with this vintage goddess of the skies flanked by the Red Arrows.
Duxford Trip
Autumn term started with a coach trip to Duxford Imperial War Museum.
The Air Scouts enjoyed the company of members of Northampton's Royal British Legion.
Whilst looking around the exhibitions they were asked to become audience members for a BBC1 documentary to be shown during Rememberance week. (More to follow on this!)
